EYE EXAMINATIONS

OCCASIONAL CONTACT LENSES

LASIK
LASIK is a form of laser vision correction. It is an acronym for laser in situ keratomileusis, which means to reshape the cornea without disturbing the adjoining tissue.
Surgeons use a tiny, high-precision instrument called a microkeratome to separate the layers of corneal tissue and create a thin flap on the surface of the eye. This flap is then, folded back and the excimer laser is guided to gently reshape the underlying tissue. The cornea's new shape is what improves the vision of the patient. The quality of the corneal flap is crucial to minimizing complications and achieving excellent results. Many surgeons recognize that creating an exceptional quality flap is 80% of the procedure's success.
Another possibility is CustomLASIK. CustomLASIK is the latest vision correction procedure that provides the doctor with the tools to take a precise measurement of your eyes, like a "fingerprint" of your vision. On-Site Laboratory
Your sight is our vision. Therefore, we have the latest technology, which enables us make almost any prescription on-site. However, some restrictions do apply. Our newest addition to our laboratory allows our patients to receive a non-glare lens within 24 to 48 hours. A non-glare lens helps to reduce the amount of glare seen by the patient, especially at nightime and on the computer. We are so excited about our new technology. .

OPTICAL DISPENSING
Our optical laboratory has the latest in equipment to not only fabricate your glasses, but to maintain and repair them should they become broken or damaged. We are able to tint, coat, harden and edge spectacle lenses. We are able to provide you with any frame or lens design available. Our highly qualified optician and staff are able to adjust and fit your glasses to you for extended comfort and vision.
Our staff can fit you in a pair of designer frames, safety frames, sports frames, or sunglasses.You can also select from our large selection of lightweight space-age metal frames, as well as other styles. DRY EYE TREATMENT

Herrick Lacrimal Plugs
Herrick Plugs are small, non-dissolvable lacrimal plugs that provide long term relief from dry eye symptoms. Dr. Bennett is able to insert these plugs in a matter of seconds during an office visit. EYE INJURIES OR INFECTIONS
Our offive provides emergency services for eye infections and eye injuries. Please, call our office at 405-282-4396 during hours or our emergency number; 405-590-8608 after hours or on weekends. Our staff will work to schedule you an appointment as soon as possible.
With state of the art microscopes, we are able to examine the front surface of the eye and facial areas around the eye for infection or injury. After assesing the extent of the injury or infection, a treatment plan will be formulated and explained to you. Treatment may include medications and supportive care. Follow-up visits to monitor your recovery will be scheduled as needed.
SURGERY CO-MANAGEMENT
Our office provides many of the surgical services such as Cataract surgery, Laser surgery, Refractive surgery and Strabismic surgery. We offer this in conjunction with the hospital and local eye surgeons.
Additionally, we have working arrangements established with other specialized eye care doctors to manage such things are retinal detachments, retinal tears and hemmorhages.
LOW VISION SERVICES
People who have lost eyesight due to injuries or eye disease need special types of products to help them function as independently as possible. We offer a full range of these products in our office. Our paraoptometric staff is trained to demonstrate the use of some of these devices. They range from a simple hand magnifier to a closed circuit TV system.
We can also direct those who have low vision problems to products that will help them carry on the day-to-day tasks that they need to perform. In some cases, we can set up a program for the low vision patient with the National Library of Congress to receive "books on tapes", which is a service for the blind.
