Our Team

Dr. Bennett graduated with Honors from Northeastern Oklahoma State University College of Optometry in 1985 and moved to Guthrie in 1989. Dr. Bennett is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP) and the American Optometric Association (AOA). He was inducted into the Pioneers in Oklahoma Optometry Hall of Fame and is a former President of the OAOP. Most recently he was awarded the OAOP Distinguished Service Award for 2023. He participates in legislative activities to promote the importance of independent doctors and has served on numerous state and national committees to promote the optometric profession as a whole. He is an active member of the Guthrie Noon Lions Club and participates in raising money and collecting used eyeglasses that will be refurbished and then provided to those in need.

He is involved in all phases of optometric practice, including diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, general vision exams for glasses, and tting contact lenses. He makes subsequent referrals and co-manages treatment of expanded conditions such as retina disease, cataract surgery, complications from Diabetes and Glaucoma.

He and his wife are active members of First United Presbyterian Church in Guthrie. In their free time they enjoy spending time with their two kids and four grandkids. Dr. Bennett enjoys woodworking in his shop, gardening, and tractor work on the acreage around their home.

Dr. Padgham graduated from Soutwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2002. He, then, proceeded to graduate from Northeastern Oklahoma State University College of Optometry in 2006. Dr. Padgham is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians (OAOP), American Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association Sports Vision Section. Dr. Padgham supports Optometry in various ways. He has served as Optometric Student Assocation President and currently serves as an OAOP Membership Committee member. He also participates in legislative activities in order to promote the eye care profession and the importance of independent doctors.

Dr. Padgham practices primary care optometry, which includes prescribing glasses, treatment of ocular diseases including gluacoma, co-management of Laser Vision Correction, pre-and post-operative surgery patients, Computer Vision Syndrome, Sports Vision, and Corneal Refractive Therapy. He specializes in fitting contact lenses for full-time and occasional contact lens wearers. Locally, Dr. Padgham also lectures at Guthrie and Logan County Schools and participates in children’s vision screenings.

Dr. Steddum graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2002. She then proceeded to graduate from Southern College of Optometry, Memphis in 2007. Dr. Steddum is a Fellow of American Academy of Optometry FAAO. She has previously practiced at the VA in Oklahoma City as well as with the Absentee Shawnee Tribe in Norman.
